Do you want to help us alleviate hardship for thousands of people by becoming a Glasspool trustee?
Role: Trustee
Location: Remote working and central London
Salary: Voluntary, with travel and other expenses paid
Closing date: 17th October 2022
Glasspool provides small one-off grants for essential household items and clothing to people facing hardship. Through our grants we help people to achieve a little more stability, comfort and dignity, putting them in a position where they can focus on getting their lives back on track.
We want to recruit up to three new trustees to provide strategic direction, governance and oversight of the charity.
Our Trustee Board meets four times a year in London, alongside a yearly planning meeting, and three trustee sub-committees that meet remotely, four times a year.
If you believe everyone has the right to dignity, comfort and security we are keen to hear from you. This is an exciting time to join our Board, as we set a new strategic direction to maximise the support we give to those living in challenging circumstances.
You don’t need to have experience as a trustee as we will provide you with mentoring and training. We want our board to represent the diversity of the people we support. We are particularly keen to hear from people from minority ethnic backgrounds and those with social welfare knowledge or experience (including lived experience).
To apply please download a copy of the Trustee Recruitment Pack, and apply with your CV and covering letter or video clip to info@glasspool.org.uk
Closing date is 17th October 2022 and interviews will be held the week of 21st November 2022.
