Due to the high number of applications we are receiving, we are prioritising requests for cookers, fridges, washing machines etc or beds/bedding and essential clothing. This means that we are unable to fund requests for other items of furniture such as: sofas, wardrobes or table/chairs, except in cases where the applicant is experiencing severely poor physical or mental health or has complex needs.
The categories we consider for grants have now been prioritised. This is detailed as follows with the categories lower down the list only being provided with a grant in exceptional cases or not at all:
