We are pleased to announce that from 4th April 2019 until further notice we will be working with AO Retail Limited, who will be fulfilling our orders for white goods. As a result of this change we must have our new consent form, which now names AO as our white goods supplier, completed to ensure we are GDPR compliant.
Registered Support Workers can download the new form via our grants management system. Support Workers requiring any assistance should call the Grants Team on 0203 141 3161 (Mon to Fri – 9:30 to 12:30).
Due to GDPR we will not be able to accept any previous version of the consent form.
Due to the decline of local welfare scheme assistance, over the last few months we have seen a steady increase in demand for support to obtain basic household items and essential clothing.
We are currently unable to provide white goods through a supplier, we are making cheques payable to the referring agency in the interim. We are aiming to have our new white goods supplier in place for April 2019. If you have any questions about this change please call us on 0203 141 3161 Mon to Fri (9:30 to 12:30) or email grants@glasspool.org.uk and a member of the team will be able to help you.
The Frontline Network of the St Martins-in-the-Fields Charity want to know what you think about the work you do, the challenges you face and the great work that you do to overcome some of these challenges.
You can help the Frontline Network amplify the voice of frontline workers and develop resources guided by you by following this link and completing their survey https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/PN6FXMC
Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete it – the Frontline Network is only as strong as the frontline workers that make it, so the more people that take part, the stronger the network becomes.
We have now resolved the technical difficulties with GrantsPlus (our grants management system). Support workers can now check on the progress of their applications, answer requests for information and submit new applications. Please contact us on our support line 020 3141 3161 (open 9:30 to 12:30 Mon to Fri) if you encounter any problems with the system. Once again we apologise for any inconvenience caused whilst the system was offline.
Since the beginning of April we’ve seen a significant rise in the number of applications we receive. Despite an increase in our grants budget for 2018/19 this has resulted in a more stringent approach being taken to the provision of grants and an increase in the number of applications being rejected.
In order to manage this increase, the categories we consider for grants have now been prioritized. This is detailed as follows with the categories lower down the list only being provided with a grant in exceptional cases or not at all:
Equipment and adaptions applications will still be considered but within the budgetary constraints identified above.
